Club Forget Me Not

2019 Fall Forget Me Not Camp a beautiful success for all

17 campers came out to the annual Club Forget Me Not Fall camping retreat. High adventure, overwhelming laughter, incredible Autumn colors, and beautiful support were the foundations of this weekend. We are so proud of the courage that our campers showed throughout the weekend. Whether on the the high ropes course, sharing feelings around a fire, or earning pirate treasure, courage was present.

The Breckenridge Outdoor Education (BOEC) created a wonderful atmosphere for our campers to be bold, daring, and push themselves to new heights, literally as suspended bravely in the Breckenridge wilderness. Their staff, led by Ella Greene jumped right in and felt like long-time members of the Club Forget Me Not Family. Thank you for all your support and kindness this weekend, we look forward to next Fall!

We learned so much from our experiences at camp. Sometimes, the things we fear the most (likes high ropes courses for Stacy), are where we can learn, grow, and enjoy the most. This is particularly true surrounded by those who support and encourage us to reach new heights, in all areas of our life.

After 8 years of working with grief related camps, Club Forget Me Not is coming to fruition in a far greater manner than I ever could have imagined. The manifestation of this beautiful camp, based on trust, love, and support far exceeded any visions we had.

It takes a family of people to Make Club Forget Me Not thrive. Volunteers, BOEC, families, the donors are all integral to our success. However, the people who deserve the most gratitude and recognition are the incredible campers! The young people putting themselves out there to grow, improve, and support one another are amazing! From all of us, THANK YOU CAMPERS!!!!!!

When you let the campers take over your camera, it will often result in many photos being taken (528 to be exact, here is a link to all of them)! Below are some of the highlights, but see the link above for more great photos of smiling, brave faces.
